Do you write all the emails or pass them onto a team?
I am not an agency. I will build your Email Marketing Machine and edit every email it produces myself.
This includes providing segmentation recommendations, deliverability tracking, monthly calendar creation and performance reports on top of writing all your emails each month.
I only intend to work with 2-3 clients, which is manageable on my own. And working with such a small number eliminates the risk of outsourcing to people who don’t have my experience or standards and may be too reliant on ChatGPT.
My ESP already has a ton of AI tools, including an AI writer. Why should I build an Email Marketing Machine on top?
It’s true, ESPs are rolling tons of AI tools that write emails, segment your list and even answer your questions. With its K:AI suite, Klaviyo is aiming to automate the entire process, putting email agencies out of business.
But the AI tools of ESPs have their limits. Their AI writers are built using their own proprietary data, resulting in emails with a generic, friendly brand type of tone. This is fine if all you’re doing is sending product focused promo emails with discount codes. But they’re going to need almost a complete rewrite if you want to send visceral storytelling emails that differentiate your brand.
The AI segmentation tools of ESPs are also adequate. But they’re not going to find the hidden segments which Claude Code, with its data crunching power, is going to find. The same applies to the performance reports Claude Code creates – they don’t just show you the data, they tell you what it means, and give you actionable steps for improving performance each month.
Yet Claude Code’s biggest advantage over ESPs is its MCP connection, which itself Anthropic developed. With MCP, you can connect Claude Code to your ad accounts, online shop, CRM and any other data source. This allows Claude Code to track and analyze the customer’s entire journey. This means, for example, you can identify which customers are most valuable depending on which ad campaign they came from. Golden nuggets of data like this can be transformative for your business. But they’re impossible to get from your ESP alone.
I don’t use Klaviyo. Will your Email Marketing Machine work with my platform?
Claude Code has “connectors” that allow you to integrate Klaviyo, Active Campaign and a bunch of other ESPs in a matter of clicks.
However, with MCP, Claude Code can be connected to any ESP. This allows Claude Code to analyze your data, create campaigns and optimize your performance whatever platform you’re on.
