Website Copywriting
Your words are the most important element of your website because only your words will persuade visitors why they need your product or service.
Allow me to write them for you, and I’ll provide punchy, active writing that engages prospects’ interest and hammers home the benefits of your business.
Here are a few of the websites I’ve provided response driven copywriting for:
No Jail Please - Criminal Defense Attorneys
The copywriting for the ‘No Jail Please’ landing page had to be able to communicate clearly and concisely with a broad range of visitors. It had to be able to persuade anybody accused of a crime, whether it was DUI, drugs offenses or domestic violence, to contact a No Jail Please defense attorney.
In order to be able to write the landing page I had to research and become familiar with the service provided by this Californian legal practice. And promote their unique benefits in comparison to other locally based defense attorneys.
AirGini - Brighter Mobile Conversations
AirGini is a startup service for receiving automatic updates and content from the internet onto your mobile. The service uses push technology to deliver content, which means you no longer have to trawl through your bookmarked sites checking for updates.
The brief was to provide conversational, cheerful copy aimed at average Joe and the non-techie. The service can used by everyone with a mobile, so it needed to be pitched as a simple, easy to use service for keeping in touch with friends and family.
I provided tag lines for the landing page and ‘Show Me More’ page as well as copy for the ‘About Us’ page.
iFlow CRM is a startup company providing CRM software for estate agents and real estate agencies. The software enables them to manage their relationships with customers, integrate all their data together as well as access an online marketplace of buyers and properties.
Estate agents aren’t necessarily familiar with CRM applications and so the copy had to be easy to understand and to explain how the software could improve productivity, efficiency and responsiveness. I provided copy for the home page, products page and for each individual feature.
Murrays the Printers provide lithographic and digital printing services for the Milton Keynes region.
I wrote copy for the home page and services pages to explain who Murrays are, what they do and how they do it. The copy had to reflect Murrays’ professionalism, whilst also being friendly and not too corporate.
“If you want to go from burning wieners to grilling succulent steaks, luscious lobsters and other delicious meals, sign up today and become a master chef in your own backyard.”
I wrote the landing page for this website featuring recipes, tips and advice for gas grilled BBQ. The copy was aimed at aspiring BBQ chefs, and to entice them to register for the newsletter or signup for the full range of information products.
Briteyellow are a high-tech WiFi VoIP specialist who installed one of Europe’s first free city centre wireless internet zones in Milton Keynes for surfing the web and making business class VoIP telephone calls.
The website was launched when WiFi technology was still only emerging and few understood the benefits of having a free wireless zone in their shopping centre, hotel or coffee shop. The copy I provided had to explain the benefits for the various different applications in a concise style that was easy to understand and reflected Briteyellow’s high-tech expertise.
“Many crazes come and go, but roller shoes and heelys have continued to fly from the shelves as teenagers rush to get hold of a pair of the athletic shoes with wheels.”
I provided individual descriptions for every shoe, to give them their own identity and to promote why roller shoes are so popular in the US. I also wrote the ‘About Us page’ to develop the company’s credibility and to persuade parents why RollerUSA was the perfect place to buy their children’s next birthday presents.
Newsiasm is a US website that publishes positive news stories about topics such as declarations of peace, achievements over adversity and advances in science and medicine.
I wrote weekly articles on a range of topics with the aim of giving readers a sense of optimism every time they visited the site.
